Dr. Austin J. Gaal Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon

Dr. Austin Gaal is a fellowship-trained oral and maxillofacial surgeon who practices the full scope of the specialty, including dental implants, complicated dental extractions, cleft lip and palate surgery, orthognathic surgery, and trauma.

Originally from Atlanta, Georgia, Dr. Gaal completed his Doctorate of Dental Surgery at Columbia University in New York City. In 2014, Dr. Gaal entered a four-year residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (OMS) at the University of Washington. During his residency, he received extensive training, including dentoalveolar, head and neck, orthognathic, and cleft surgery. Dr. Gaal was then chosen to directly study under Drs. Kevin Smith and Paul Tiwana in a fellowship in cleft lip and palate surgery at the University of Oklahoma.

Returning to Seattle, Washington in 2019, Dr. Gaal currently serves as a clinical assistant professor at University of Washington/ Harborview Medical Center and part-time private practice. He co-manages the only ACPA approved cleft team in central Washington, the Yakima Cleft Lip and Palate team, and he engages in several cleft surgical outreach global trips on a routine basis. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, member of the American Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Association, actively participates in several OMS, hospital, and cleft-related committees, publishes, and lectures routinely on these subjects.

He is a proud father of three children.

Dr. Teja Neral Associate Dentist

Dr. Neral was born and raised in Michigan. She attended the University of Michigan for her undergraduate studies and graduated from Western University of Health Sciences College of Dental Medicine. Dr. Neral understands that the dental office can be a very intimidating place for many people and strives to achieve a comfortable and inviting environment for all her patients. She is a lifelong learner and enjoys taking Continuing Education courses and attending study groups to keep up with the always evolving field of dentistry so she can provide the utmost quality of care that her patients deserve.

Outside the office, Dr. Neral and her husband enjoy traveling, hiking, trying good local eats, and exploring the vibrant culture and beauty of the Pacific Northwest.

Dr. Amir Emam Periodontist

Dr. Amir Emam started his academic career at Washington State University graduating with a Bachelors of Arts in Fine Arts and a Bachelors of Science in Biology.    He then graduated from Northwestern University in Chicago where he received his Doctorate in Dental Surgery in 1999.   Dr. Emam was in private practice in Arizona for 14 years where he was also an adjunct faculty at the Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health.  He then returned to the Pacific Northwest for 3 years of specialty training in Periodontics at  The University of Washington.  He has been an affiliate faculty member at the University of Washington since finishing the program.  When not practicing dentistry, he enjoys spending time with his lovely wife and two boys.

Lisa Registered Dental Hygienist

I feel privileged to serve as your dental hygienist with over twenty-eight years of experience.  My passion is patient education and moving you forward in choosing dental health.  I believe that caring for you is caring for the person.  You may not remember the treatment you received but you will remember how I made you feel.  I learn from you too, with our trusted relationship.  I enjoy getting to know each person individually.  I am a native of the Seattle area and enjoy spending time in our beautiful state.

Tamara Assistant

I have been working in the dental field for many years, and loving it more every day. I have gained experience in all aspects of dentistry and am always striving to provide ever higher  quality care. I extend myself to patients wholeheartedly, providing information regarding the care they’re receiving and explaining treatment options.  In our office, I specialize in assisting periodontal and implant surgery procedures.  I’ve been accused of being a workaholic, though I still find time to be a fitness fanatic and a dog lover.

Tamara Financial Coordinator

I’ve been the financial coordinator at Prestige for several years now.  My background is in corporate accounting and finance so I find that I’m very well suited for this position.  I believe that my success is based on my positive attitude and enthusiasm for the care we provide to patients.  I strive for excellence in customer service and proficiency in office skills. I am continually updating my knowledge base, including that of the latest innovations in dentistry, though various continuing education classes.  I have four grandchildren and enjoy spending time with them and the rest of my family and friends.  My personal interests center on outdoor activities like gardening, hiking and active travel.
